Dozens of pounds of marijuana, cocaine and several high-powered assault rifles are off the streets of Cameron County.

Sheriff Omar Lucio said the seizure came following the arrest of two men who opened fire with an AK-47 and 380 handgun.

It all happened after Oscar Lamas and Nicolas Paz got kicked out of a party at a home on 6400 block of Coach Circle earlier this week.

Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for the two and a search warrant for Lamas' home on Thursday.

Authorities allegedly found 51 pounds of marijuana, 92 ounces of cocaine, the weapons and ammunition inside his home.
