A Santa Rosa man died in a hosptial Sunday morning after his motorcycle crashed into a light pole the night before.

Juan Manuel Vasquez was traveling west on San Filippo Road when his motorcycle failed to turn on a curve in the road.

After missing the curve, the 62-year-old’s motorcycle hit a light pole.

EMS responded to the scene and transported him to Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.

He was later pronounced dead by doctors.
