Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers are investigating a fatal Saturday morning accident.
DPS Spokesperson Johnny Hernandez said the crash happened at about 6:50 a.m. near Mile 5 and Western Road.
The victim has been identified as Sergio Fransisco Valdez. He was a construction worker for a local company.
He was on his way to work when the accident happened.
The 36-year-old was driving a Chevy Expedition southbound on Western, when he went off the road.
He overcorrected, causing the Chevy Avalanche to roll over, Hernandez said.
By the time first responders arrived, Valdez had passed away.
