A pregnant woman has been rushed to the hospital after collapsing at the Gateway International Bridge in Brownsville.

A pregnant woman has been rushed to the hospital after collapsing at an international bridge in Brownsville.

It all happened at the Gateway International Bridge around 11:40 a.m. Friday.

Investigators said the woman was walking from Matamoros on the pedestrian lanes of the bridge when she collapsed.

Customs officers helped the 5-month pregnant woman until an ambulance arrived.

It’s not clear why the woman collapsed but paramedics took the woman to a local hospital for evaluation.
