Authorities are investigating a chase where the suspects fled on foot in a south Harlingen neighborhood.

It all happened on Rangerville Road shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday.

The driver of a white BMW led Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state troopers on a brief chase that ended in a neighborhood.

Both the driver and the passenger bailed out near the Arroyo Colorado on the 1800 block of West Lamb Avenue.

Authorities caught one of the two men at the scene but the other fled towards the arroyo.

Investigators described the second suspect as a Hispanic male wearing a blue shirt.

It's not clear why the men fled from state troopers but authorities checked the car before having it towed away.

According to public records, the license plates of the BMW came back registered to Reynaldo Padron of Pharr.
