Two people killed in Mercedes auto accident

A two-vehicle accident in Mercedes left two people dead Friday night.

The accident happened on FM 491 around 7:15 p.m.

Mercedes Police Chief Olga Maldonado told Action 4 News a pick-up truck collided with another vehicle, causing it to rollover.

The two passengers in the pick-up died at the scene.

Maldonado could not say how the accident occurred, but the case is under investigation.

Action 4 News will provide more information as new details become known.
