Palmview residents told Action 4 News that they could do little else except pray for illegal immigrants killed and injured during a Tuesday night chase.
Jesse and Diana Castillo didn't see the fatal accident happen but arrived to the scene almost right after.
Investigators said some nine illegal immigrants died and another six were injured in the accident off Expressway 83.
Both Jesse and Diana Castillo said they didn't hear screams or moaning from pain.
The couple said only saw bodies on the roadway. Some of them moving but making no sound.
Diana Castillo said authorities blocked off the area, so she did the only she could do: pray for those injured and killed.
Castillo told Action 4 News that it's sad that the immigrants died seeking a better life.
