Harlingen police responded to a call at 7:15 a.m. regarding the robbery on 1521 Ed Carey Dr.

According to Harlingen Police Lt. Narciso Noyola, a man came into the coffee shop, went behind the counter and demanded money from an employee.

He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, black cap and a blue bandana over his face.

This is the second major robbery to occur in Harlingen within  three days.

Police are searching for the suspect who robbed Salinas Pharmacy on 1022 South F St. on Thursday.

Investigators are examining the two cases to see if they are related in any way.

If anyone has any information about the suspect(s) whereabouts, they are encouraged to call Harlingen Crime Stoppers at (956) 425-TIPS or (956) 425-8477.

Starbucks has put up a sign letting people know that the coffee shop is temporarily closed.
