Photos and witness accounts flooded Action 4 News social media sites as soon as severe weather rolled through the Rio Grande Valley.

Residents in Hidalgo County snapped pictures of mounds of hail piling up in their yards.

One viewer sent in a picture of a neighborhood completely covered in white ice resembling a sheet of snow.

Pictures of vehicles stranded in floodwaters were also flowing onto the Action 4 News Facebook fan page.

One photo included an SUV with floodwaters up to the top of it’s tires in the parking lot of a Stripes convenience store on 10th and Pecan in McAllen.
