$241 million dollar jackpot for Mega Millions lottery

Some could be be $241 million dollars richer on Tuesday.

With no grand prize winner on Friday night, the Mega Millions lottery has rolled over and is now pushing a jackpot of $241 million dollars.

The game is drawn on Tuesdays and Fridays but has now gone since January 27th without a grand prize winner.

The jackpot has rolled over 15 times over the past seven weeks.

Mega Millions is played in 41 states and the District of Columbia.

Winners must match five numbers and a sixth "Mega Ball" to win the full amount.

Paying $1 dollar extra allows players to pick a Megaplier of 2, 3 or 4 can double, triple or quadruple their non-jackpot winnings.

The odds of winning the jackpot are approximately 1 in 176 million while the odds of winning any of the Mega Millions prizes are approximately 1 in 40.
