Suspects caught on tape for carjacking near La Plaza Mall

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating men responsible for a carjacking in broad daylight near La Plaza Mall.

It all happened on the 1800 block of South 10th Street around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday.

McAllen police told Action 4 News that the suspects showed weapons to steal a black 2012 Volkswagen Jetta.

Investigators said the stolen car was recovered in San Juan but the suspects remain at large.

McAllen police released surveillance photos taken of the suspects getting out of a light-colored GMC Yukon.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call McAllen Crime Stoppers (956) 687-TIPS or (956) 687-8477.
