A man is in custody Wednesday evening after police found an unknown amount of narcotics in his crashed car.

He led police on a chase that began in Weslaco and ended near Moore Road and I Road in Pharr.

Officers first started following him because they believed he had drugs in the car.

According to Border Patrol, it was possibly Weslaco’s police traffic.

In mid-pursuit, the man crashed into a transmission box at a nearby apartment complex.

The vehicle and the drugs were confiscated.

Action 4 News will provide more information as soon as new details become known.
