Four men are behind bars following two drug busts in Weslaco where one man tried to throw the evidence inside another car.
The first drug bust happened off Mile 8 North and FM 1015 around 11 a.m. Thursday.
Weslaco police arrested Rolando Villarreal at the scene but suspect Cesareo E. Almaguer took off in a car.
Investigators said Almaguer tried to throw drugs inside the car of an innocent bystander.
Police arrested Almaguer and then recovered marijuana and $4,000 dollars in cash.
The second bust took place at a home at 1923 Las Brisas in Weslaco.
Police arrested 52-year-old Ramon Rodriguez and his 20-year-old son Ramon Rodriguez Jr.
Authorities found marijuana inside their home.
All four men appeared before a Weslaco municipal judge on Wednesday morning.
Villarreal got a $2,000 personal recognizance bond while Almaguer got $40,000 dollars in bonds.
Both Rodriguez and his son were issued $2,500 cash surety bonds.
