A number of Action 4 News viewers have written and asked how we pick our Fa$t Ca$h.
The easy answer is that it’s a random, computer-generated drawing.
But Action 4 Sunrise offered a behind-the-scenes look at how the winners are picked.
Thousands of entries have been received and kept on a central database.
Each day, Action 4 News staff go to that database and use a computer program to pick a random winner.
Contest participants who sign up for Action 4 Deals email alerts get an extra entry.
There are also bonus entries for following Action 4 News on Facebook and Twitter.
At registration, contest participants are given a link they can share on Facebook on Twitter.
More bonus entries are given each time that participant’s friends use those links to sign up for Fa$t Ca$h.
