American officials have issued an alert following a wave of robberies in a Nuevo Laredo neighborhood.
The American Consulate in Nuevo Laredo issued the security message on Friday afternoon.
The message warns Americans about a series of robberies at homes in the Colonia Madero neighborhood.
According to the message, four young gunmen driving in a gold Ford Taurus are responsible.
The armed men have recently robbed people entering or leaving two homes.
The gunmen also crashed a party at another house in the same neighborhood robbing the homeowner and the guests.
The neighborhood is located along the Rio Grande River across from U.S. Highway 83 in Laredo's southside.
