Brownsville police investigating homicide at sports bar

Brownsville Police are investigating a homicide at a bar early Sunday morning.

Officers responded at about 2 a.m. to the Upside Down Sports Bar and Grill on the 500 block of Springmart Blvd.

Police spokesperson J.J. Treviño said they responded to a call about a stabbing.

The victim, a 22-year-old man, was transported to Valley Baptist Medical Center, where he passed away from his injuries.

Treviño said the suspect was seen leaving the bar in a black SUV.
