Man pleads guilty to SPI murder, gets 20 years prison

More than five years after a brutal murder on South Padre Island, the suspect has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Dennis Wayne Capps appeared for his trail in the 107th State District Court on Wedesnday monring.

But the trial for Capps didn't take place.

The 58-year-old man pleaded guilty to the murder of 46-year-old Brian Arnold Aldrich back in December 2006.

Capps spent more than two years on the run but was arrestd in Central America back in 2009.

Judge Benjamin Euresti accepted Capps' guilty plea on Wednesday morning and sentenced him to 20 years in prison.
