It only took a Cameron County jury 25 minutes to convict a Brownsville murder suspect and now, he'll be serving life in prison.
Albert Cleveland Staffford appeared for sentencing in the 445th State District Court on Thursday morning.
A jury convicted the 52-year-old Brownsville man for a fatal March 2010 stabbing.
It all happened on the 100 block of West Levee Street in Brownsville where a witness saw Stafford standing over the victim, who was surrounded in a pool of blood.
Jurors are reconvened on Thursday morning where they'll decide Stafford's sentencing.
Prosecutors reported that jurors gave Stafford life in prison.
