It doesn’t take long for a restaurant in Olmito to catapult itself to the top of the Food 4 Thought list for dirtiest kitchens in 2012.
Just three weeks into the New Year and Kiki’s on 7035 North Expressway 77 scores 58 demerits on an initial health report.
The restaurant is cited for 17 health code violations including temperature abuse and improper storage of food inside an unapproved shed behind the building, according to a city report.
A kitchen cop also reprimands the eatery calling the establishment “unsatisfactory” on the report.
It takes several days and the threat of a citation for each violation not corrected by a re-inspection for Kiki’s to get the all clear.
A manager told the Food Patrol he was simply to busy to clean at the time of the inspection.
Hear what else he says and which other restaurants go down as dirty in this week’s Food 4 Thought!
