Suspects identified as members of the Tri-City Bombers gang

Two alleged members of the Tri-City Bombers gang are behind bars following a chase that started in San Juan and ended near the Mercedes rodeo grounds.

It all started at a Stripes convenience store in San Juan around 3 a.m. Tuesday.

San Juan police told Action 4 News that a man and a woman led police on a multi-city chase through Alamo, Donna, Weslaco and Mercedes.

The chase ended just north of Expressway 83 in a neighborhood next to the Mercedes Livestock Showgrounds.

Authorities identified the suspects as Abdon Baza and Samantha Sifuentes. Both were reported to be members of the Tri-City Bombers gang.

The two were arraigned at the San Juan Police Deparment on Wednesday afternoon.

Baza was charged with evading arrest and given a $250,000 dollar bond while Sifuentes was charged with evading arrest and unlawful carrying a weapon and given $150,000 dollars in bonds.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
