A 43-year-old man is behind bars after he allegedly masturbated in front of women at a north McAllen park.

It all happened at Schupp Park off Zinnia Avenue around 6 p.m. Monday.

McAllen police told Action 4 News that an off-duty Border Patrol agent caught Daniel Alvarez in the act.

Authorities charged Alvarez with indecent exposure.

Alvarez appeared before a McAllen municipal judge who issued a $3,000 dollar bond.

If convicted, Alvarez could face six months in jail or a $2,000 dollar fine.
