Authorities have released the 911 call from an incident at Cummings Middle School that ended with police shooting and killing student Jaime Gonzalez.

The call was made by an assistant principal at the school.

Police can be heard in the background yelling for him to put the gun down and then someone yelling out that Gonzalez wants them to shoot him...

“He's drawing the gun -- put down the gun -- they're shooting -- he's running through the hall,” the assistant principal said in the 911 call.

Police later learned that Gonzalez had been using a pellet gun instead of a real firearm.

It’s still not clear why the 15-year-old eighth grade student took the pellet gun to school that day.
