A Hidalgo County man is behind bars and facing criminal charges after he was allegedly caught on tape having sexual encounters with a horse.
Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies have arrested Cirilo Rodriguez Castillo on animal cruelty and criminal trespassing charges.
Investigators told Action 4 News that Castillo tied up the horse and had sex with it on several occasions.
Court records show that it all happened at two different ranches.
One of the ranches was east of Edinburg off Owassa and Tower Roads.
The ranch owner there told deputies that he caught Castillo having sex with female horses at least four different times back in August.
The owner of a nearby ranch off East Alberta Road told deputies that surveillance cameras caught her neighbor Castillo have sex with her female horse back on December 30th.
Deputies charged Castillo with two counts of criminal trespaassing and two counts of animal cruelty.
Castillo appeared before Hidalgo County Justice of the Peace Charlie Espinoza at the Hidalgo County Jail around 2:30 p.m. today.
Justice of the Peace Espinoza issued a total of $60,000 dollars in bonds for Castillo.
