After a month of exposing himself to women at a Dollar General store in Edinburg, police say they finally have the alleged suspect behind bars.

Edinburg police arrested Ruben Jose Naranjo on multiple criminal charges.

Investigators told Action 4 News that Naranjo spent weeks sitting in his vehicle outside of the Dollar General store off of Monte Cristo Road.

Police said the Naranjo would try to get the attention of women and then touch himself inappropriately in front of them.

After a month of getting calls about him, police said they finally caught a break when one of the victims wrote down his license plate.

Lt. Oscar Treviño with the Edinburg Police Department spoke to Action 4 News about the incident.

"If you find yourself in a situation where you're becoming the victim of something like this you need to be the best witness that you can,” Treviño said. “Get a description of the suspect and especially the vehicle description and license plate."

Naranjo was charged with three counts of indecent exposure and one count of indecency with a child by exposure because one of the victims had her daughter with her at the time of the incident.
