The suspect in a drug chase that put an elementary school under lockdown faced a judge on Wednesday morning.
Palmview police arrested Jorge Guadaloupe Macias-Ramirez on multiple charges on Tuesday.
Macias-Ramirez is accused of leading police on a chase that ended off FM 492 in front of Gonzalez Elementary School.
The school was placed under lockdown after Macias-Ramirez fled on foot and an officer fired at his vehicle.
Officers caught him and charged him with evading arrest and possession of marijuana.
Macias-Ramirez faced a judge late Wednesday morning where he was issued $100,000 dollars in bonds.
