Authorities investigate cause of airport hangar fire near Progreso

Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that started inside a hangar at an old airport near Progreso.

It all happened just east of FM 1015 around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.

A cause of the fire was not immediately known but firefighters scrambled to contain the blaze before it could spread.

In the path of the fire were old boats, RVs and other vehicles, which may have contained combustible materials.
