It’s unclear for how long, but a worker at C & C Wings on 2034 Central Boulevard in Brownsville said her customers were inadvertently being served ice from a contaminated machine.
Patricia Rodriguez also admitted she would NOT want ice from a moldy container.
That’s exactly what a health inspector in Brownsville discovered.
Photographs taken inside the machine showed the health concern.
The mold was clear to see and appeared to cover a large portion.
Patricia said she didn’t think anyone’s health was at risk since the ice didn’t appear to touch the mold.
She showed the Food Patrol how the machine was completely emptied out and cleaned.
New procedures are in place to ensure its properly maintained from now on, according to the worker who signed the health report.
