Cause of building fire in Alamo remains under investigation

Authorities are investgiating the cause of a fire that completely engulged a building near Business 83 in Alamo.

It all happened off 12th Street and Alamo Road around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

But according to fire investigators, the facility is abandoned and was in the process of being demolished

Firefighters from Alamo, Donna, Pharr and San Juan all responded to the blaze.

No injuries were reported at this time but the fire drew hundreds of onlookers.

Action 4 New will provide more information as it becomes available.
