Say “cheese!” A mouse is photographed inside the Burger King on 7209 North 23rd St in McAllen, according to the health department.
The evidence was reportedly shown to management who voluntarily closed the restaurant for about 12 hours so pest control could take care of the rodent contamination.
The health department cleared the business on a re-inspection.
Rodents apparently become a problem for this particular Burger King whenever nearby fields are mowed, according to inspector Aaron Salazar who spoke to the Food Patrol about the inspection.
Burger King’s corporate office in the Valley was contacted for a statement; however, no response has been provided as of yet.
