Fugitive Finder: Starr County Arson Suspect Behind Bars

A man wanted for burning down a Starr County beauty salon is behind bars shortly after leading authorities on a chase.

Starr County Sherriff's Office deputies arrested Rosbel Garcia off FM 3167 on Wednesday.

Investigators told Action 4 News that Garcia had been involved in a chase with Border Patrol agents earlier that day but got away.

Garcia is wanted for allegedly setting Cydia Barrera’s Beauty Salon located on 3327 Pita Street in Escobares on fire.

The alleged incident happened back in April, and he managed to get away.

Garcia has a long wrap sheet that includes drug and weapon charges as well as a charge for making a terroristic threat and aggravated robbery.
