Authorities have identified a man who reportedly left a grenade and a warning taped outside an RV on South Padre Island.

The Cameron County Sheriff’s Department said an arrest warrant has been issued for James Baxter.

Authorities were called out three miles north of Beach Access 6 after reports of a grenade found on the abandoned RV.

Three grenades found at the scene turned out to be duds.

The RV was stuck in the sand of the beach due to recent high tides.
