Responding to a jury summons just got easier in Hidalgo County.
The Hidaldo County District Clerk's office has launched an e-juror program.
With this, when you are summoned to appear as a juror, you can go online and fill out the juror questionnaire instead of filling out the paper and mailing it back to the clerk's office when you are summoned to court.
District Clerk Laura Hinojosa said this is the first phase.
Next, the county will work on a system so that those summoned do not have to come to the courthouse to be process.
They would just learn on the website which court they need to report to in order to start the jury selection process.
