Tropical Storm Nate could bring  some rain for portions of Deep South Texas.

Nate formed in the Bay of Campeche Wednesday afternoon and is currently stationary with no change in strength.

As of 8 am Thursday, Nate was  located about 500 miles southeast of Brownsville, Texas.

The storm is expected to drift very slowly to the east-northeast today with a slow motion to the north-northwest on Friday.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 45 mph.

Some intensification is expected during the next day or so.

Nate could become a Cat 1 Hurricane by Friday or Saturday.

The forecast track takes Nate into Tampico, Mexico.

However, if you look at the spaghetti  models, you will notice a huge disagreement.

While Nate is not forecasted to move directly over the Valley, we may see some rain bands moving in by Monday and Tuesday as Nate Makes Landfall in Mexico.

Residents in Deep South Texas need to monitor the latest forecast.
