A Hidalgo jury found Roberto Rojas guilty of four counts of capital murder and one count of attempted capital murder.

Rojas admitted to killing his three sons and his mother-in-law.

His wife, Amelia Flores, is the lone survivor.

Late Wednesday, Amelia took the stand offering an emotional testimony.

She told jurors she didn’t know her mother and two children had been killed until a week after the shooting rampage in Alton back in December of 2008.

Her father delivered the tragic news.

"He just told me they hadn't suffered like I did and that the funeral was beautiful," she said.

On Thursday, the Judge decided to push the punishment phase to next Monday.

The jury has been banned for watching any media and communicating on social media.
