A Harlingen man is behind bars after he allegedly raped a 19-year-old woman inside his car and went to a nearby nightclub.
Harlingen police arrested 22-year-old Elias Joseffat Juarez on a sexual assault charge early Sunday morning.
Investigators told Action 4 News that Juarez is accused of raping a 19-year-old woman on the 700 block of North Ed Carey Drive.
The alleged sexual assault took place inside Juarez’s Ford Mustang.
Police reported that officers found Juarez at Club Hush, an "alternative" nightclub at 703 N. Ed Carey Dr.
Juarez appeared before a Harlingen municipal judge on Monday morning where he was issued a $200,000 dollar bond.
