A La Paloma preacher appeared before a judge on Tuesday where he pleaded 'not guilty' to wife's murder.

Julio Cesar Perez appeared for an arraignment before Judge Migdalia Lopez with the 197th State District Court.

The 41-year-old preacher was recently indicted for the March 31st capital murder of his wife Sonia Elizabeth Perez.

Perez is accused of hiring Daniel Flores Lopez to kill his wife.

Lopez allegedly went through middleman and allegedly worked with Mark Daniel Garza, Alfredo Castañeda and his son Daniel Castañeda as part of the plot.

Perez pleaded 'not guilty' during his court appearance on Tuesday.

No court dates have been set in Perez's case as of Tuesday afternoon.
