A Brownsville man is behind bars after he allegedly sexually abused two girls over a long period of time.

Brownsville City Jail records show that 30-year-old Jesus Cardenas-Hernandez was booked on multiple sex abuse charges at 7:16 p.m. Monday.

Cardenas-Hernandez is facing four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of continuous sexual assault of a child charges.

Investigators told Action 4 News that two girls ages 11 and 12 made an outcry.

Cardenas-Hernandez is expected to be arraigned on the case on Wednesday morning.

Brownsville police are not releasing his mugshot until that time.
