Here's a question... are you a tipper?

“Yes! Why? Because I feel you should pay for the good service you get. People work hard for their living and you should reward them”, says Matt Wixted, a tipper.

10 percent, 20 percent -- how much should you tip a person performing a service for you?

Well, here's a guide from the Consumerist.

First, the pizza delivery person.

According to the Consumerist, you should tip between two and five bucks depending on distance.

But, find out if the tip was included in the price first and if there's a service fee not shared with the driver.

If you're getting a cup of coffee from a mom and pop cafe - a buck per drink.

Takeout food, 10 percent of the total bill.

Having furniture delivered?

Five bucks is fine - unless there's a lot of extra setup required.

Then, you may want to add a little more.

Need a ride? Customary tip for a taxi is 10 to 15 percent. If your driver helps with heavy bags, go for 20 percent.

Have you ever just left some change for the housekeeping service at a hotel?

Well, one to five dollars is fine.

Better to leave the tip in a marked envelope and since staff changes daily - you may want to leave something before you head out for the day.

What about tattoo artists? You should tip 10 to 20 percent.

Here at Eternal Ink, it's considered good karma.

With all the cutbacks in the Postal Service, you may want to give your carrier something extra - but the Government prohibits them from accepting cash.

Make them some cookies or write a nice letter expressing your gratitude or better yet, do both.

Bottom line, you know the holidays aren't the only time you should tip for a job well done, and you know what?

Even if you don't have a lot of money -- a smile, a handshake and a thanks also goes along way.
