Starr County deputies investigate murder east of Rio Grande City

Members of the Action 4 News team worked together to bring you this report.

Authorities are investigating the death of a man who was shot and killed east of Rio Grande City.

The gruesome discovery was made on Blanca Road in the Guerra Garza Subdivision on Thursday afternoon.

Investigators told Action 4 News that 22-year-old Roman Ramirez, Jr. was shot once in the chest.

The motive for the killing is not known at this time but deputies said Ramirez would frequently walk on Blanca Road.
