ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- Evangelist Billy Graham has been admitted to an Asheville hospital for treatment for pneumonia.

Doctors say the 92-year-old Graham came to Mission Hospital Wednesday morning after suffering a health episode overnight.

Initial testing suggested pneumonia, and diagnostic studies showed his heart was normal.

Dr. Lucian Rice is Graham's primary physician and says no date has been set for Graham's release.

But he says the evangelist is alert and resting comfortably. Graham spokesman Larry Ross says the evangelist is feeling better since he arrived at the hospital.

Ross says age-related conditions such as macular degeneration and hearing loss have kept Graham at his home in nearby Montreat in recent years.

But he says Graham has remained in good health overall.
