Has McAllen become the Rio Grande Valley's barbeque capital?
McAllen residents certainly have their fair share of options off North 10th Street and Nolana Avenue.
There are plenty of local favorites but pver the past few years, several barbeque new restaurants have established themselves along those two corridors.
Lone Star BBQ has carved out a market for itself on North 10th Street just south of Nolana Avenue.
The Dallas-based chain Dickie's Barbecue Pit established its first Valley outpost off North 10th Street and Dove Aveue.
But now, a new barbeque chain has set up shop off North 10th Street and Trenton Road.
Barb-B-Cutie started in the 1950s in Tennessee where they used car hops but they later became a dine-in restuarant.
The barbeque chain, with its signature cowgirl, have expanded across Tennesse, Ohio, Georgia, Spain, Texas and now, the Valley.
The McAllen location is only one of two locations in Texas. The other one is in the Dallas suburb of Allen.
