‘Tina’, as we will call the victim’s mom, said she always kept a close eye on her 16-year-old son.

So when he disobeyed her and did not sleep at friend’s trailer while they were at the Mercedes Livestock show she immediately grounded him.

"His cell phone started going off,” ‘Tina’ said. “I started looking at the messages and I saw who they were coming from. I noticed they were from a friend of mine."

‘Tina’ said she was curious as to why her friend was texting her son. She said she sent a few messages back and had her worst fears confirmed.

‘Tina’ said Michelle Falcon Garza gave her son alcohol and then fondled him in her trailer.

"I spoke to her myself and she admitted it,” ‘Tina’ said.  “She said she was sorry and that alcohol was involved. That really bothered me."

‘Tina’ said she never thought in a million years she would be pressing charges against a person she trusted.

The mom said Garza has known her son since he was ten and her actions are unforgivable.

"We're always around each other,” ‘Tina’ said.  “We see each other constantly. It bothers me that a close friend did this. It is just a little bit worse that it is somebody we knew."

Action 4 News confirmed that Garza is a teacher at Veteran’s Middle School in Rio Grande City.

School officials told Action 4 News that, prior to this incident, Garza had taken personal leave. They said it is the District’s policy to suspend her with pay---pending the outcome of this case.

Garza was arrested on Friday. She was charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor and indecency with a child. Garza was given a $55,000 bond.
