Pedro Villalobos told Hidalgo Sheriff Investigators his wife ‘deserved to die’ and admitted to beating her death because he thought she was cheating on him.

Pedro was not alone--his brother Daniel Villalobos also admitted to helping Pedro beat his wife.

Both Pedro and Daniel were arrested and charged with the murder of Farrah Villalobos.

Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office investigators said the brutal beating happened at 2110 South Saltillo Circle in Weslaco.

They said Farrah Villalobos came home on that fateful Saturday, February 19th, and was accused of cheating by her husband Pedro.

Witnesses told investigators they saw Pedro beating on Farrah.

Investigators said that’s when Pedro’s brother, Daniel, showed up and also began attacking his sister in law.

Witnesses said they watched the two drag Farrah’s limp body into the home. Investigators said the beating continued inside.

"This is one of the most vicious beatings that I have seen," Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Treviño said.

Treviño said Pedro called Farrah’s family to tell them they had a fight and she was lying unconscious on the floor.

Farrah’s family immediately called EMS and Farrah was rushed to the hospital. She spent a week in a coma---and later died from her injuries.

Treviño said Farrah was kicked to death.

Despite having witness statements of what happened, no one in the neighborhood called police

‘Maria’, who is a domestic abuse survivor, said she knows what it is like to have people just sit

"I would talk with people and tell them what was going on,” ‘Maria’ said. “No one ever told me the abuse wasn't acceptable."

She said for four years she was verbally and physically abused by her husband. She said one day she had enough.

"I crawled out the window and ran to a neighbor’s house,” ‘Maria’ said. “I told her to call the police."

‘Maria’ was able to leave her husband and start over again. But, unfortunately, there are still so many others, like Farrah, who will not get that opportunity.
