Pharr police have confirmed that a body found is that of missing Las Milpas man.

Family members turned to Action 4 News for help after 21-year-old Jesus "Chuy" Reyes went missing on Monday.

Relatives said that Reyes had gone through a recent breakup with his girlfiend and were concerned for his safety.

Authorities found his car on a canal bank off South Jackson and Old Ridge Roads.

A body was found in the same canal on Tuesday.

Investigators told Action 4 News on Wednesday morning that the body has been positively identified as that of Reyes.

An autopsy has been ordered to determine an exact cause of death.
