Two people are behind bars after a fatal wreck involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck just north of Weslaco city limits.
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) officials said the fatal wreck happened off Mile 6 West and Mile 10 North on Wednesday morning.
State troopers reported that 21-year-old Javier Casas was killed while on his motorcycle.
Investigators told Action 4 News that the driver of a Ford F-150 failed to yield the right of way and that Casas slammed his motorcyle into the truck.
State troopers reported arresting 43-year-old driver Rogelio Vicencio Castellanos on a criminal negligent homicide charge following the accident.
Troopers also arrested 35-year-old truck passenger Jose Antonio Gomez Villalobos of Weslaco on a failure to identify charge.
Mile 6 West is known as Westgate Drive inside Weslaco.
The accident happened just north of city limits.
