A 2-year-old McAllen boy who had been reported as kidnapped has been found safe and sound.

Authorities issued an Amber Alert for 2-year-old Terry Onne Bennett and his 38-year-old aunt Regina Woodfork on Wednesday night.

Investigators feared that Woodfork might have taken the boy south of the border to Reynosa, where she used to live.

Details were not immediately available but family members and McAllen police confirmed late Thursday afternoon that the boy is back home and Woodfork is behind bars.

McAllen police told Action 4 News that Woodfork is expected to be arraigned on criminal charges connected to the case.

Action 4 News will post more information as it becomes available.
