The Lyford Bulldog Stadium was packed today in honor of Veterans Day.

Veterans from all across the Valley along with friends and family joined together to honor those that fought for our country.

For those that paid the ultimate sacrifice and did not return.

Their families received a flag and golden star at Thursday’s ceremony.

Brothers Jose and Gabriel Garza both served together during the war.

They also received a medal.

They tell action 4 news that not only was this event emotional for them, but also for their families.

They saw and experienced things many would never go through.

Also Honored Thursday was James Greer, an 88 year-old World War II POW.
