An armed robbery spree of convenience stores in Brownsville ended with three arrests on Sunday night.

Brownsville police told Action 4News that four Stripes stores were robbed throughout the city on Halloween.

Investigators got their break in the case when the group robbed their fourth and final store around 9:05 p.m. Sunday.

Police said the three robbed a Stripes store at 7401 Padre Island Blvd.

Officers flooded the area and found an abandoned vehicle on the 5100 block Denver Avenue in the Rio Del Sol subdivision.

Police arrested 25-year-old Jose Leon Olivo as well as 14-year-old and 16-year-old boys on aggravated robbery and engaging in organized crime charges.

A motive in the robberies was not released but police said they were able to recover a gun used in the robberies.

Olivo appeared before a Brownsville municipal judge on Monday morning where he received a $100,000 dollars in bonds.
