A public complaint led to dirty finds in the kitchen at China Café in McAllen.
A health inspector busted the restaurant on 4713 North 10th Street with 24 demerits.
The list of violations at the restaurant included: expired milk, no soap or paper towels, a live roach in the restroom and no hair net use.
The City of McAllen issued the dirty diner a citation for the public health issues before a re-inspection later cleared the restaurant with zero demerits.
But the problems for China Café didn’t end there.
The Food Patrol came looking for answers into the demerits.
We found one of the problems was never fixed.
This despite management who claimed it was corrected.
