A Donna man and his two sons are behind bars as part of investigation where authorities reported the seizure of 93 pounds of marijuana.

Weslaco police arrested 45-year-old Ruben Torres, Sr. and his sons Ruben Torres, Jr. and Randy Torres under drug charges Tuesday.

Investigators told Action 4 News that they received a tip that a drug transaction would be taking place at the Harlon Block Sports Complex off West 18th Street.

Officers watched a Pontiac and Chevrolet truck in parking lot and stopped them after they left the park.

Authorities found three pounds of marijuana in the Pontiac.

Ruben Torres, Sr. was the driver of the truck. He told police the driver of the Pontiac was his son and gave authorities permission to search their Collin Street home in Donna.

Authorities allegedly found 90 pounds of marijuana inside the house.

Both Torres and his two sons faced a Weslaco Municipal Judge on Wednesday morning.

Ruben Torres, Sr. received a $100,000 dollar bond while his two sons each received $5,000 dollar bonds.
